I can stay in the U.S. after denial or I-94 expiration for 180 days.
TRUTH: No, the 180-day period of unlawful presence is not a grace period. You must leave the U.S. once you have no valid status. But if you depart within those 180 days, you don’t trigger the penalty of a 3- or 10-yr inadmissibility bar.
